Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field." Matthew 9: 37-38 |
We are so excited about the doors the Lord opens to minister shoulder to shoulder with churches, men's and other ministries to help provide an evening of fun, fellowship and outdoors education. What a great way to share the gospel to those who may never hear a conventional, behind-the-pulpit sermon.
The intent of 4 Outdoorsmen Ministries is to help provide an alternative means of sharing the evangelistic message of the Gospel with the outdoorsmen, women and children as Christ opens doors, partnering with other believers.
By establishing the common ground of shared outdoor experiences and activities to establish friendships and present the Gospel message of Christ. In 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 Paul speaks of finding similar interests with other people and using that "common ground" as a launching pad for sharing the Gospel.
We are very careful not to just talk about God, but to share what Christ has done for us as sinners and our faith in Him... praying and expecting Christ to move in hearts of unbelievers as we share the Gospel.
At each event we go on an adventure In The Field and explore the awesome creation of God’s Great Land Of The Wild and beginning with a game calling exhibitions we explore the passions of outdoorsmen and end by sharing the Creator God’s word. It’s a custom-tailored presentation for outdoorsmen, women and children!
We then work closely with the host church/ministry to make sure the new believer’s in Christ receives follow-up and discipleship material.

Here are just a few comments from some of the Host we at 4 Outdoorsmen Ministries have worked with.
"I stayed up until almost 2 am Sat night looking over decision cards. 19 decided to accept Jesus as their savior (8 adults and 11 kids) and 24 recommitted their lives. Wow! What an incredible night! You guys are blessed by the Lord, no doubt about it. The Holy Spirit wins again!
Have to share a couple of amazing things with you:
The exhibitor you shared the room with did make the decision to let Jesus into his heart. Isn't it wild how God works through things like that! I had put a lot of thought into what exhibitor I would put where and I actually had planned for a taxidermist to be in the same room with you, but changed it at the last moment. Turns out that the taxidermist is saved and the other fella wasn't. There is no doubt in my mind though that God knew you guys would be paired up and the fella would get up close and personal with some boys crazy about Jesus.
And the lady who won the gun....single mom of a first grade boy. When she bought the ticket I told her I didn't know she was into hunting. She just started coming to our church in April when we had a spring festival for the kids. She said she wasn't into hunting but wanted to get her son around good male role models. I thought wow-what a smart momma. When she won the gun Sat night I thought she probably doesn't really need one. Sunday morning after church, I gave her the receipt from Gander Mtn and told her if she wanted to swap the gun for some other stuff they could use, it would be fine. Her eyes filled with tears as she thanked us and told us that she had just recently enrolled the little boy in scouts so he could be around some more role models and that he needed camping equipment...she had no idea how she was going to get some. Now she can go get a really nice tent and some supplies for their camping trip. But there is an even wilder part to her adventure Sat night-she accepted the Lord just minutes before her blessing! God is so good!" Deanna Jones, Tyson's Creek Baptist Church, Bear Creek, NC.
"Brent, my hopes and prayers continually are that your group will be blessed with the diligence and desire to continue making a difference for Christ. You could not have targeted a more appropriate slice of society than you have with outdoor individuals. You make an eternal difference in the lives of others. If I can ever be of service to you or your group, don't hesitate to call on me. May God bless and keep you all." Ed Beam, First Baptist Church Cherryville, Cherryville, NC.
"Hey Brent I was going to let you know that my little girl accepted Christ tonight and it’s all because you lead the way and I appreciate you. We talked with her when we got home because we knew she had raised her hand and we discussed some things with her and walked her through things and made sure she understood everything. I want to tell you something, What you are doing counts. It matters in MY life I know that because we knew she was close and I just appreciate you so much and I appreciate what God is doing through you and through your ministry and the guys at 4 Outdoorsmen. Let them know how much I love them. You got another one for the kingdom tonight, that’s for sure!" Mike Williams, Mountain View Baptist Church
