Statement of Faith

We believe in ...

God the Father, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord. That He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe that God has existed for all eternity in three Persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was God who came to earth in human flesh, being fully God and fully man, except without sin.

Man was created in the image of God but man sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also, spiritual death. The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man's sin through His substitutionary death on the cross, the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by His subsequent visible, bodily resurrection.

We believe that following His resurrection, Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven, and is preparing a place for those who know Him as Savior. He will come again to receive unto Himself, those who have accepted His free gift of salvation. We believe that salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner.

This gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone. We believe that man's eternal destination is solely determined by his acceptance or rejection of Jesus Christ, God's provision for man's sin.

Those who reject Christ will be subject to judgment and separation from God for all eternity. Those who accept Christ as their Savior will be resurrected to eternal life and joy in the presence of God.

We believe in the Holy Bible, both Old and New Testaments, as the inerrant, infallible and wholly inspired Word of God - written by men as inspired by the Holy Spirit - and we accept it as the only authentic guide for conduct. We believe that the greatest attribute of God is His immense love for mankind. We believe that love extends beyond any cultural, racial or denominational barriers.
